Fiber Composite Reinforcement / Strengthening Method
Design requirements
1. This method is applicable to the reinforcement of reinforced concrete members subjected to bending, axial compression, large eccentric compression and tension. This method is not applicable to plain concrete members, including members with a reinforcement ratio of less than 0.2% on one side of the longitudinally loaded steel bars.
2. For reinforced concrete structural members, the concrete strength level measured on site shall not be lower than C15, and the positive tensile bonding strength of the concrete surface shall not be lower than 1.5MPa.
3. When reinforcing reinforced concrete structural members with fiber composite materials, the fiber bearing mode should be designed to only bear the tensile stress.
4. Fiber composite materials pasted on the surface of concrete components shall not be directly exposed to sunlight or harmful media, and the surface shall be protected. Surface protection materials should be harmless to fibers and adhesives, and should have reliable bonding strength and mutually coordinated deformation properties with adhesives.
5. For the concrete structure strengthened by this method, the ambient temperature for long-term use should not be higher than 60°C; when the concrete structure in a special environment (such as high temperature, high humidity, medium erosion, radiation, etc.) In addition to taking corresponding protective measures in accordance with the current relevant national standards, adhesives that are resistant to environmental factors should be used and pasted according to special process requirements.
6. When fiber composite materials are used to reinforce reinforced concrete structures, measures should be taken to remove or most of the live loads acting on the structure.
7. When the surface of the reinforced component has fire protection requirements, the fiber composite material shall be protected according to the fire resistance grade and fire resistance limit requirements stipulated in the current national standard "Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings" GB 50016.
